I had such a great experience with Bad Hog Land Clearing! They came out and trimmed all the trees on our property and did such a great job I also had them come back out and do our driveway! They were prompt, communicative and great to work with. Will for sure use them again and have already recommended them to friends and family!

Forestry Mulching That Meets Every Grant Requirement

  • Heavy Equipment Mulching ($2,000/acre tier): Our forestry mulcher qualifies for the grant’s highest reimbursement tier — the most efficient way to clear brush at scale.
  • Debris Mulched On-Site — No Burning: The grant prohibits debris burning. We mulch all material on-site — no burn piles, no hauling, no smoke.
  • 66-Foot Minimum Width: Every shaded fuel break we cut meets or exceeds the grant’s required minimum width.
  • Unaffiliated Contractor: Bad Hog has no ownership relationship with landowners — a non-negotiable grant requirement.
  • Pre-Inspection Ready: We schedule work only after Texas A&M’s required pre-inspection. We never start early or mulch outside the approved plan.

How Much the Grant Can Cover

The Texas A&M Forest Service reimburses up to $6,000 per landowner based on treatment method. Bad Hog’s forestry mulcher qualifies for the highest tier on every eligible acre.

Treatment Method Rate per Acre Maximum Reimbursement Cap
Hand-cut only $750 3 Acres
Combination (hand + equipment) $1,500 3 Acres
Heavy equipment (forestry mulcher) $2,000 3 Acres

Worked example: 3 acres cleared with our forestry mulcher = $6,000 reimbursed (maximum cap). You pay Bad Hog directly at the time of work; Texas A&M reimburses you after the completed work is verified.

Five Star Reviews From Our Customers

"Highly Recommended"

Robert and Noah were absolutely in tune with what my wife and I were looking for in shaping our overgrown land. They walked the property with us for an hour, carefully listened to what we wanted, gave us a comprehensive estimate, and sent us a copy of their insurance. When they came out to work on the project they were prompt, respectful and very hard working. They brought out the character of a property we’ve owned for nearly 25 years and gave us more usability and beauty than we even imagined. We will certainly have Noah and Robert come back in the future when we need more careful selective clearing done.
